Due to the characteristics of the design of the API610 standard magnetic pump of Jiangsu Shenchuan Machinery Technology Co., Ltd., it generally does not require constant maintenance, but in order to ensure its normal operation and safe work, a process monitoring device should be used and strictly managed.
First, the liquid level protection control of the inlet tank. The inlet tank should be equipped with a liquid level transmitter or a liquid level switch before the magnetic pump. When the liquid level of the inlet tank drops to a certain level, the operation of the pump will be automatically stopped to protect the pump. Install a differential pressure sensor and switch to measure the differential pressure at the pump outlet and inlet, and automatically stop the pump when the differential pressure is lower than the set value to protect the magnetic pump.
Second, the pump body should be equipped with a temperature sensor to monitor the temperature of the isolation sleeve and the pump bearing to protect the bearing and the magnetic drive. To avoid cavitation, magnetic pumps require a minimum suction head when delivering easily vaporized fluids. The vibration of the pump is very small, and the larger vibration and noise indicate a failure.
Third, the pump outlet should be equipped with a liquid level regulating valve to adjust the displacement of the conveying medium according to the liquid level of the inlet tank. In order to ensure normal operation, the pump should be guaranteed to work within the range of flow and head shown in Figure 2. The minimum and maximum working flow and head are indicated on the performance curve.
The inlet and outlet pipelines of the pump should be supported to prevent additional loads from being transmitted to the pump. The pump cannot be used as a stress point in the pipeline. It is necessary to ensure that the pipeline system has compensation measures for thermal expansion.
When the positive suction head is low, the inlet line should be as short as possible to prevent cavitation.
The inlet piping should be appropriately sized to ensure that the fluid velocity does not exceed 3m/s;
When transporting easily vaporized fluid or liquefied gas, ensure that the flow rate does not exceed 3m/s;
When transporting easily vaporized fluid or liquefied gas, ensure that the flow rate does not exceed 1m/s.
A regulating valve should be installed in the outlet pipeline to adjust the flow and head of the pump. It is recommended to install an additional one-way check valve when using longer outlet lines or when two pumps are used in parallel. In order to realize the continuous operation of the pump, it is recommended to install a return line and install the minimum flow orifice to ensure sufficient lubrication and cooling of the sliding bearing during continuous operation.
The entire piping system and auxiliary piping should be carefully cleaned to prevent iron filings, welding slag or other foreign matter from entering the magnetic pump. For new piping systems, the inlet piping should be fitted with filters.
